The Book of Job was written in a poetic, narrative style and is one of the five books in the Old Testament often referred to as the The Books of Poetry. Job's story highlights the difference between good and evil and the role that suffering plays in the life of man. To briefly summarize the story - Job is a wealthy and God fearing man whose faith and fortitude are tested when God besets him with one tragedy after another. Throughout all his trials, Job manages to hold onto his faith, despite all he has suffered. A significant part of the story concerns Job and his three friends, Eliphaz, Bildad, and Elihu. After Job is beset by numerous calamities, they try to comfort Job. Yet when he most needs their support, they turn upon him, saying that he must have done something wrong - that he must be the cause of all his own misfortunes. This denunciation sparks a telling debate about the nature of good and evil and man's relationship with God.
This is a forceful, passionate, and soul shaking story, and the Full Cast Audio production will bring the story into your home, and into your heart, in a way never before experienced. No matter what your faith or religious beliefs, you'll find this audio production of The Book of Job both entertaining and awe inspiring.
