Does having kids mean that you have to give up having a great sex life? It may seem at times that the answer is yes, but it doesn't have to be that way! In Great Sex for Moms: Ten Steps to Nurturing Passion while Raising Kids, Dr. Valerie Davis Raskin proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt that YES, you can have kids and a great sex life - Yippee!!!

In this phenomenally pertinent book, Raskin details the various reason why women and couples, may feel that it is inappropriate to engage in intimate relationships after a child is born. She also explains how, and why, children, in various age categories, can put a damper upon a couple's ability to be spontaneous. She then offers advice, and suggestions on how to overcome these roadblocks. Raskin also offers suggestions and organizational tips on how to find the time to 'do it'. She even offers hints on how to improve your love making techniques.

While I love this book, I do feel that Raskin often takes somewhat of a simplistic approach to problem solving. In real life nothing is ever as simple, or straightforward, as she makes it out to be. Yes, in theory her ideas and suggestions will work perfectly the first time you try them - but in real life - this will seldom occur. That is not to say that you shouldn't try her ideas - just the opposite. Great Sex for Moms provides an outstanding starting point to recapturing the passion. However, be prepared to have to work at it. It may have taken years for your sex life to fade away under the pressures of raising a family and work, so it may take awhile to rekindle the flame. As well, you may have to try several times to master or overcoming a given roadblock. You should also be very flexible in following Raskin's advice. Don't be afraid of adapting her ideas to fit your own unique circumstance.

In short, this book will help you learn to overcome the barriers, physically and psychologically, that are preventing you from being as passionate as you wish. Great Sex for Moms also will help you find a happy medium between your role as a mother, and the passion that you need, and deserve, in your life.

This book does contain sexuality explicit material. There are no pictures in this book. However, you may wish to keep it away from children who can read - or be prepared to answer a lot of questions! Also be forewarned that some of the sexual techniques and suggestions made in this book may be offensive to some readers. It is possible, however, to skip these explicit sections as they are proceeded by headings that explain the nature of the text to follow.

Unfortunately, at this time, this book is only available in standard print.
