Her Way: The Hopes and Ambitions of Hillary Rodham Clinton is an informative audiobook that strives to paint a comprehensive portrait of Hillary Rodham Clinton. The authors, Jeff Gerth and Don Van Natta, Jr. provided insights into not only her political machinations, but also her personal life, the challenges she has faced throughout her career, and how her husband has both helped and hindered her ambition to become the first female president of the United States of America. This book is read by Erik Singer, who is pleasing to listen to.

While Clinton's current run for president takes center stage in this book, the authors provide detailed background information about this influential woman, tracing her career from her school days at Wellesley College, up through her stint as a New York Senator. Along the way, the readers explore all aspects of her life, from how she met her husband, Bill Clinton, how she helped promote his career, and what life was like for her as First Lady.

Her Way: The Hopes and Ambitions of Hillary Rodham Clinton is an important book for anyone desirous of learning what factors went into shaping Clinton for her run for the White House, and for discovering some of the strengths and weakness that she would bring to the job. Readers who are already fans of Clinton will find nothing in this book to sway them of their opinion, and those who hate her will find nothing in this book which will endear her to them. Although both sets of pro and anti-Hillaries will find lots to talk about in regard to the information presented in this book!

Who this book will most impact are those who have not yet made up their minds as to what type of person she is, and what type of president she may make, and wether or not they want to back her presidential run. While the information in this book should not be the sole basis upon which you make such a decision, it will aid you in better understanding Clinton, both as a private person and as a political candidate.

Overall, the authors have presented an unbiased, and a remarkably unscandalous, biography on Clinton. The book is filled with interesting anecdotes, intriguing tidbits about how she has crafted her public image, and how the public has reacted to her over the years. Basically, Her Way provides a satisfying glimpse into the life and career of Hillary Rodham Clinton, and it is a must read (or listen to) for both her fans and her detractors - if for no other reason that it provides ample fodder that will lead to animated water cooler conversations!
