If you do not already know who she is, Joyce Meyer is a well-known and respected Bible teacher who has written countless books and who teaches and lectures via her TV and radio ministries called Enjoying Everyday Life. Her words are powerful and inspirational, and in her new book, Change Your Words, Change Your Life, she examines how and why words are so powerful and how you can actually change your life by more carefully choosing your words!

Read by her daughter, Sandra McCollom, this life changing book covers a range of topics from the impact of words and how to 'tame your tongue' to 'speaking God's word' to learning when to keep your mouth shut. After all, just because you have an opinion, it does not mean that you have to share it ;-) In addition, at the end of this audio book you'll find a collection of scriptural readings organized by topic that you can listen to, and repeat, to help you incorporate the lessons that you will learn in this book into your everyday life.

Throughout this book, Meyer focuses on teaching you how to use your words constructively - and healthily. Healthy words? As I've learned from this book, words can have a beneficial and healthy side effect, not only for you, but also for those with whom you share your words. After all, words can cause sadness, and they can also bring great joy. Just think of the emotional, and by extension, physical impact that words can have, and you'll quickly grasp how words can affect your health.

As always, Meyer speaks with elegance and simplicity, and showing how by taking small, easy steps you can improve not only your own life, but also the lives of all those you come into contact with. More important, by choosing to make these simple changes, you are also strengthening your relationship with God. The information she presents in this book may, in hindsight, seem too obvious or overly simplified - but before you listened to or read this book, had you ever really considered the power of your words? I for one had not, but after listening to this book, I'll be working to follow the practical steps that Meyer has outlined to school myself so that I use my word more constructively and for positive purposes.

A wonderfully inspirational and important book, I highly recommend Change Your Words, Change Your Life to all those seeking to improve and strengthen their lives and the foundations of their Christianity.
