Rich Dad's Classics is a boxed set of three titles from the Rich Dad series of personal finance books by Robert T. Kiyosaki and Sharon L. Lechter. This collection includes Rich Dad Poor Dad, Rich Dad's Cashflow Quadrant, and Rich Dad's Guide to Investing. Combined, these three books serve as an outstanding primer on personal finance and they offer guidance on how to achieve financial security and freedom.

Rich Dad Poor Dad, the first book in this series, covers the basics of personal finance. It also provides guidance on how to teach your children about money. He also illustrates how the philosophy you have about money, and how you spend it, can have a drastic impact on your financial bottom line.

Rich Dad's Cashflow Quadrant This book builds upon the information presented in Rich Dad Poor Dad and points the reader more firmly in the direction of financial independence. In this book Kiyosaki reveals the secrets on how you can work less, and earn more. Sounds like a pipe dream, but Kiyosaki manages to make a compelling case. The way to do this, according to the author, is to be your own boss. While you can often make more money working for yourself, most of the people I know who are self-employed actually work longer hours than those that work a traditional 9 to 5 job. I will admit, however, that they seem to be more satisfied with their jobs and don't begrudge the time they spend on their job because they are investing their time into their own business and working for their own financial benefit.

Rich Dad's Guide to Investing, as the title suggests, this book covers the basics of investing and how to minimize investment risks.

While these books will not make you rich, they will go a long way toward showing you how you can become rich. They also serve as an excellent primer for anyone seeking information on how to handle their own finances. Listening to this set of books, even if you don't agree with Kiyosaki financial philosophy, will make you rethink how you handle your own finances and the steps that you need to take to secure your own financial independence.
