All writers, no matter what genre they write in, share one thing in common - they want to get their work published. For those with the spirit and the determination to 'go it alone' self-publishing can be a profitable and gratifying route by which to get your work published. As the title suggests, this book cover all the basics and after reading through this volume you will have a good idea whether or not you want to try self-publishing your comic book. Although geared more toward someone who is planning on starting a comic book publishing company, it will also prove invaluable to someone interested in only publishing their own comic books.

Filled with practical advice that covers just about everything from outfitting your office to acting as your own public relations agent, How to Self-Publish Your Own Comic Book is a must have book if you are considering or working toward self-publishing your own comic book. Even if you are trying to place your comic book with a traditional publisher, you will find that this book is filled with valuable information that will help you better understand the publication process - and the money side of the comic book business.

In How to Self-Publish Your Own Comic Book, Caputo discusses a range of topics including how to organize your company, trademarks, copyrights, printers, contracts, distribution, sales, marketing strategies, promoting your comic book, bookkeeping, financing your comic book, and so much more.
