The Theme Book DVD is a collection of more than 4,000 books on a single DVD disc. Covering topics ranging from United States History to Child Rearing, this collection literarily has something for everyone! As important, the Theme Book DVD costs only US$ 69. This is a phenomenal value with each book in the collection costing only about a penny and a half each!
This collection is perfect for all readers, but will be of special interest to those who are visually impaired or who have low vision, as well as individuals who have mobility problems. If you can use a computer, you'll be able to access and read the books on this DVD! To access the books in this collection, you will need a Window's PC with a DVD Disc drive. The books in this collection are saved in plain text files (ASCII) and they can be easily read using standard screen reading (text-to-speech) and screen magnification programs. As well, to open the files you will need to have a web browser, word processing, or text editing program installed on your computer. The files can also be opened with programs such as OpenBook. Once opened, you can easily change the font size, style, and color using the controls found on your web browser or word processing program.
This DVD collection is comprised of the books found in twenty of the themed CD-ROM collections that have been compiled by Richard Seltzer. In the past, I've reviewed many of Seltzer's single themed CD-ROM collections and I've been impressed with every single one. Each provides a small library of books that are both educational and entertaining, and all are 'must haves' for every home, school, and public library. This DVD anthology contains the texts found in twenty of these individual themed CD collections, and is perfect for individuals seeking to collect a massive collection of books, for a minimum of cost and without the loss of any space in your house. As well, Seltzer is continually updating his CD-ROM collections and if you have older versions, this DVD collection is ideal for getting the most up-to-date versions of the Themed CD-ROMS, for a mere fraction of the cost of buying each individual CD-ROM.
Below is a list of the twenty thematic categories covered in this DVD collection. In those instances where I have reviewed the individual themed collection, I've hyperlinked the title to the review.
